Kenia in the Middle

Navigating the world & life as a middle sister!

Prince of Tides

Last week my family and I went on a boat ride.  The boat was called The Prince of Tides.  We saw dolphins, fish, and birds.  A dolphin even came up to the boat!  The captain was very nice and funny.  He even let me drive the boat!  I drove the boat for a long time.  While he was driving, we saw some beautiful houses on Lady’s Island.  I was a little jealous of the people who lived there though.  It was a fun boat ride and a beautiful sunset!

Hope you keep reading!

***note from mom…There were many movies filmed in Beaufort.  Obviously The Prince of Tides was filmed around town.  The author of the book Pat Conway grew up around this area and lives on Fripp Island (which is one of the Sea Islands).  Forrest Gump was filmed all over Beaufort and the Sea Islands, The Big Chill, GI Jane, and North and South.  In fact the bridge into Beaufort was the bridge Forrest crossed in the movie.  It was supposed to be the Mississippi River.  We love to ride our bikes across this bridge in the mornings.***
