experience music project

We went to the Experience Music Project a few times. It is also called the EMP. A funny fact about it is that when you look down from the Space Needle it’s supposed to look like a guitar smashed by Jimmy Hendricks (thanks Ms. Robbins). Jimmy used to smash his guitars at the end of his performances as a sacrifice. I don’t understand that but my mom said he did it for love. Another musician that did that was Kurt Cobain. He was the lead singer of Nirvana. There is a lot of their stuff in the museum. They were both from Seattle and they both died at 27. It is very sad.
The best thing about the museum is that you get to play and touch most things. My other favorite exhibit was The Women Who Rock! I got to see some of my favorite artist’s outfits. One of my favorites was Lady Gaga’s meat outfit!

Hope you keep reading…
