Kenia in the Middle

Sundays are always so nice! I woke up and took a lovely walk on the beach then came back to get ready to go out to Loíza. I promised Christian I’d show him before I leave because it was my favorite beach I’ve been to. He picked me up around 1 and the beach is about 30 minutes away so we got there about 1:30 ish. It was more of a gloomy day so he didn’t get to see how bright the water gets when it’s sunny, but it was still super fun. We were there for about 3 hours then left to get Puerto Rican fried food from one of the restaurants on the roadside. We went to Los Barriles, the same place Yvette took me. It’s right on the beach and overall a cool atmosphere. Today specifically we had such a fun surprise. Last time I was there it was way more chill but today there was people dancing throughout the restaurant with a live band! We got empanadillas de camaron, bacalaítos, and pina coladas, and they were delicious! After we ate we were in traffic for about 30 extra minutes so I got home around 7:30. I went on a slight run then checked in on my schoolwork and called it a night. Week 4 coming up tomorrow!
