PR Day 20: Friday Night Dancing 6/16/23

Welcome back! Today started out lovely with Yvette and Juan’s favorite place superfoods. We were a bit tired today so we started the morning with smoothies! Juan is close buddies with the workers so we got to just hang out in their with the dogs for a bit before the work day started. It’s walking distance from the garden so we walked back once we got our food and I really really had to use the restroom! You guys are about to love this. I open the toilet in the bathroom at the garden which I’d never used prior and to my surprise… a baby iguana just chillin right there in the water!! I immediately grabbed Juan to show him and he was so nonchalant. I should’ve just gone at superfoods. After I finally finished laughing about that we started to work. However, after two days in the forest with the incorrect shoes and stepping on rocks barefoot my feet were destroyed so I was bandaged up. I helped Juan with the compost, planted some more seeds, sifted some fresh soil, pruned some plants, and just like that we were done after a few hours. I went back to the hostel and decided to lay out on the roof while I did some homework, for sure a set up I’m starting to get used to. The night went on and later I was invited out since some people in the room were leaving the next day. They wanted to go to La Placita, so that would make this my third Friday spent in the square. Not complaining though it’s such a lively place on a Friday night. We all got dressed hopped in the car and made our way. The second we got there we immediately walked out into this massive crowd of people dancing together with live music! It’s exactly what I expect a flash mob to look like even though it probably wasn’t an actual flash mob. We all danced together for a couple hours then everyone who was leaving started to slowly drift off one by one then Christian the guy from the other night dropped me back off at the hostel. When we got back I made us pb & j sandwiches to maintain our hunger till the morning. By the way, when I get home don’t expect me to eat one of them for a solid 6 months, after the amount I’ve had here. At around 3 am I finally went to bed knowing I’d be exhausted the next day. So I’ll let you know how tomorrow goes after being up so late!
