As of now, sadly I only have 2 weeks left! I started the day with accidentally waking up a tad late so I got ready, grabbed an apple, and headed to the garden. Today we got to compost again and collect more seeds! As it did before the compost stank but I got the hang of it better this time, and I think I spent about an hour and a half extracting seeds from the pods. The plant is called icacos, it’s a fruit that naturally grows close to the sea. We had to get all the seeds out of the fruit to let them dry out for us to plant. With the leftover skin and meat inside we feed it to the chickens! Yvette also gave me some of the plantains she pruned from the tree in the garden, which I’ll be attempting to cook later this week! After I went home once I finished the seeds and set them out to dry. I headed to the beach, and ended up falling asleep for an on and off 2 hours!! Definitely got a little butt burn. I went back to make myself dinner but then 2 of the new guys in the room suggested we go out to old San Juan just to walk around. They had a car and I hadn’t done much today so I went. I talked most to one of the guys Christian. He’s a huge travel guy after going on his mission in Paraguay, so he’s here for the summer doing sales for solar panels. He has a lot of cool stories so it was fun just chatting. Ended up being a more fun day than I expected!
