Kenia in the Middle

Today we had a wonderful day! Got to sleep in a bit and take the day to ourselves at the beach. Yvette told us to come at 4pm instead today because it was so hot. So we spent most of the day in the water once we finally got up! We didn’t do much today volunteering wise because we started late and their just wasn’t much to do other than extract seeds. Being together always makes it fun though no matter how small the task is. After that we went to meet with the local coordinator of our project for dinner. Once again it was Mojito Thursday so we went to La Prena to get arepas and drinks. Nastassia got the parcha one which is just passion fruit and it was actually so good! We just sat and talked about our lives and why we are here doing what we’re doing. It was good as always and then we just headed back to the hostel. On our way back we passed this open art gallery in a basically abandoned building! It was filled with such sick pieces on random items like street signs, skateboards, etc. We checked it out for a bit then went to get to sleep for our long day tomorrow! The plan is to go to old San Juan for majority of the day, so I’ll let you know how that goes!
