PR Day 11: Snorkeling Day! 6/7/23

Absolutely amazing day! Today we had a snorkeling activity with some of the partners of CRES. They took us snorkeling to not only create a fun activity, but we learned about the coral reefs and found some damaged ones due to human activity. The guy leading was a marine biologist and could point out and lost facts about every fish or species we saw it was incredible, I’d never seen that many unique fish. My favorite things I saw were the black angel fish and the purple coral. The only slightly scary part was walking on the sea urchin filled rocks. A perfect way to start our Tuesday. After snorkeling we headed back and got ready for the beach. We spent most of our day there then I went off on a run. The second I got back Nastassia insisted the idea of night kayaking. We all decided to go, with a big thanks to her grandma for offering to fund our little excursion. Definitely worth not having time to shower all day. We went to a small lagoon in Condado, one of the more tourist filled towns. It was so pretty we walked up to this backyard filled with lights and got an overlook of the city. They gave us glow sticks because it was led kayaking? we also peddled with our legs versus a row? Never heard of either but it was actually so much easier than I expected it to be but definitely a leg workout. We each got to pick different colors for the bottom of our kayak to be. We had an hour on the lagoon so we just took a lap around. The guy who gave us the kayaks thought Nastassia was Belle and I’s mom. All of us were having so much fun with this especially because throughout the whole thing we were keeping the joke going. Fun fact about Nastassia, she will always take a picture. Anyways, I’m looking forward to the rest of the week! I’ll update you tomorrow:)
