Kenia in the Middle

Now it’s Sunday. I slept terribly, so for 2 full nights I have probably slept a total of 2 hours. The air conditioning shut off yesterday but only in our room, I tried to fix it but the people at the hostel weren’t very kind about it and it was roasting and humid all night in the room. I tried to keep a positive attitude but I was so sleep deprived at this point. When the air finally started working I took a long nap and felt much better. When I woke up Belle told me that a new volunteer arrived!! So exciting, staying in a hostel has already introduced me to so many new people, so I was very excited that this one would be volunteering with us. Her name is Nastassia. She lives in Chicago, her family is Columbian and Greek, and she definitely made a great first impression. She is so funny and warm hearted it was so easy to talk to her. We spent the rest of the day getting to know each other and later decided to go to the beach for a absolutely STUNNING sunset swim. At this point we had just been having fun, chatting, and taking some pictures. Then all went to bed early for our next week of volunteering!
