Kenia in the Middle

Alright! So day one, basically a full 16 hours of travel. The 27th of May my flight was leaving at 6:25 pm. So long story short I had another day to get ready. I went and got my nails done with my mom, I triple checked my bag and rested basically the whole day. Then around 3:00 my mom and I headed to LAX. So with that hour drive then my extra hour waiting at the airport I was already 2 hours in. I spent most of my time just researching Puerto Rico, practicing my common phrases in Spanish, and listening to music to keep my energy up. Then I had my hour and a half flight to my first stop, Las Vegas. I was there for about 3 hours, but I wish it was longer honestly so I could see my great grandma because I will be kissing her birthday this year sadly. Anyways moving on, I then had a 5 hour flight to Boston. Stayed there for another 2 hours. After all that I finally had my 4 and a half hour flight to arrive at my final destination… Puerto Rico! I got there at 12 pm, checked in at 3 pm and spent my day just exploring and trying to finally getting used to a “dorm” lifestyle since I haven’t had any experience suffering through that prior to this trip. Overall my first day was just filled with exhaustion and excitement. I got some groceries, organized my area, and explored the beach solo. The second I got off the plane I knew I was gonna love it here. The hot weather, the green all around, and a view of the beach from the rooftop of my hostel. Knowing I’d get to stay here for 4 weeks all I did was think to myself “Could it get any better!”
